7 Days of Teacher Treats for End of Year Gifts - #1 Pump Box - The Crafty Spark

7 Days of Teacher Treats for End of Year Gifts - #1 Pump Box

Thanks for joining me on a week of Teacher Treats :)  Today's project is a cute little Pump Box (what is she talking about I hear you say!) so named by one of my darling boys as it contains a Purell Hand Sanitizer Pump Bottle ! ! !

Now I'm sure you know, schools are unfortunately a breeding ground for germs..... our little lovelies, no matter how many times we tell them to wash their hands are just not very good at it are they and lets face it.... wash your hands or go and play?  Bit of a no-brainer really isn't it when you're at school!  So considering all these little germs floating around, and the fact that more often than not, our little darlings love to hold their teacher's hands what better gift than hand sanitizer in a cute box!

There will be a project every day this week including and Gift Bag and Tag to put them all in AND to make life easier for all you busy parents and carers you can also buy a Ready Made Kit to make things really super straight forward and easy to do :)

Crafty Spark Recipe Time

1 Mini Pack of Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper (or whichever one you'd like to use - the remainder of the pack you could use for the rest of the weeks projects)
1 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock measuring 6 1/2" x 8 1/4" (or one that coordinates with your chosen paper) - keep the surplus for tomorrow's project
1 length of thin ribbon or Thick Bakers Twine measuring approx 10"
Amazing Birthday Stamp Set
1 1/4" circle punch
1 1/2" circle punch
Watermelon Wonder Ink Pad
Cucumber Crush Ink Pad
Adhesive

To do....

1.  Score your cardstock along the short edge at 2" | 3" | 5" and 6"
 then along the long edge at 1/2" | 2 1/4" | 7 1/4"
2.  Fold and burnish along all score lines then cut as shown
(note the bottom tab above the '.co.uk.' has not been notched on the edges)

3.  Add glue along the thin edge (maybe not as much as I have though!)

4.  Fold over and stick down to form the main body of the box

5.  Fold and glue the bottom tabs

6.  Tah Dah - box now built :)

7.  Pinch in the top edges of the box

8.  You should now find your box closes like this - it won't hold close though, that's what the twine is for :)

9.  Cut two pieces of Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper to measure 1 3/4" x 4 3/4"

10.  Stick your Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper to the back and front of your box

11.  Punch a small hole in the top of your box for the twine to go through
12.  Cut two circles using the 1 1/2" punch out of the Cherry on Top Designer
Series Paper and using the Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush Ink Pads,
stamp out the sentiments and then punch out using the 1 1/4" punch

13.  Glue your sentiments on  and you're done
