7 Days of Teacher Treats for End of Year Gifts - #2 Post It Note Holder

Post It Notes.... who doesn't love Post It Notes! Just they fact you can stick them on paper and pull it off without a problem is fantastic - kiddies know and love this superb invention which is probably why they disappear off of the desk so fast!!

This little Post It Note holder is super easy to make and makes a great gift for teachers.... at least till the kiddies find them hehe.  Today, I'm showing you how to make the Post It Note Holder using Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper instead of the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper we used yesterday.

Crafty Spark Recipe Time

You will need
1 pack of 5" x 3" post it notes
Cumber Crush cardstock cut to 5" x 7 1/2" (same size the bit left over from yesterday cut down slightly)
2 pieces of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper cut to 4 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Couple of bits to decorate

To Do.....

1.  Score along the long end of your cardstock at 3" | 3 1/2" | 4"
2.  Fold and burnish your score lines ('burnish' - run a bone folder along the
score line to make it more defined)

3.  Fold the inner score back out and mark at 1 3/4 and 3 1/2"
4.  Make a small cut as shown above on both marks to form tabs

5.  Fold your end tabs back in
6.  Your Post It Note Holder should now be looking like this

7.  Put some glue onto the end tabs to stick them to the WIDER part of the holder
8.  You've now made the base of your Post It Note Holder

9.  Cut two pieces of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper to measure 2 3/4" x 5"
10.  I've stamped the inside of the Post It Note holder using the Sale-A-Bration
For Being You stamp set which unfortunately is no longer available but a
handwritten note from you little one would certainly be appreciated more I'm sure!

11. Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango Ink pads
with the finished stamped image
12. Stick your cover panel on to the Post It Note Holder

13.  Stick your other cut panel to the inside of your Post It Note Holder
14.  Cut a strip of Pacific Point Cardstock to measure 4 1/4" x 1 1/2", a strip
of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper to measure 3 1/2" x 1" and punch both with
the Triple Banner Punch.  Then punch a 2" Circle from Silver Foil and a star from
Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper with the Medium Star Punch

15.  Add these to the front of your Post It Note Holder and you're done!
