Fathers Day - Is Your Dad A STAR - The Crafty Spark

Fathers Day - Is Your Dad A STAR

My Dad is most definitely a star and I love him to bits. Unfortunately due to divorce, I didn't see him for 26 years. Then, thanks to Facebook I tracked him down........... that day ranked very close to the top of my Best Days Ever list (sorry Dad but having my children beat you - you're still on a par with getting married to the love of my life though......... goodness I'm waffling aren't I!).  So with my Dad in mind, I decided to do a Card-In-A-Box Card Kit for all the dad's out there that are stars :)

Now if you have the supplies you can make this yourself by following the Crafty Recipe below, or if not, you can buy the kit and assemble it yourself as all the lettering and die cutting will already be done for you :)

The link to buy the kit is at the bottom of the Crafty Recipe and all kits will be sent out First Class to give you plenty of time to make your card...... which by the way would also make a brilliant birthday card too ! ! !  Now just to let you know, I am going to be doing this card in a couple of colour-ways which will be available very shortly.  If you do want to order a different colour in the meantime, just EMAIL me and let me know and I'll make a kit up for you - colour-ways will be: Real Red, Whisper White & Night of Navy (especially for my US buddies xx), Pacific Point blue, Cucumber Crush green & Whisper White........... all super yummy nice and fresh for the summer :)

Crafty Recipe Time....

1 A4 Kraft cardstock base trimmed to 11 1/2" for ease of measuring
2  Kraft cross bars measuring 1" x 3 3/4"
1 sheet striped Irresistibly Yours Specialty Paper in Night of Navy and white measuring 6" x 12"
1 strip Smoky Slate striped Neutrals Designer Series Paper measuring 2 1/2" x 12" (required width)
1 strip Smoky Slate polka dot Neutrals Designer Series Paper measuring 2 1/2" x 12"
1 set die cut letters in Night of Navy cardstock - D A D
1 extra large Silver Foil stars
2 small Silver Foil cardstock stars
3 small Silver Glimmer (glitter) cardstock stars
2 large Kraft cardstock stars
2 large Night of Navy cardstock stars
2 medium Night of Navy cardstock stars
1  of each large Crumb Cake polka dot and Basic Gray script Designer Series Paper stars
1  of each medium Crumb Cake polka dot and Basic Gray script Designer Series Paper stars
1  of each small Crumb Cake polka dot and Basic Gray script Designer Series Paper stars
4 mini Silver Glimmer (glitter) stars with adhesive dots
1 large Night of Navy cardstock banner
1 medium Kraft cardstock banner
12 Window Sheet (clear acetate) strips measuring 6" x 3/4"
1 white card back

All the instructions on how to make your card can be found HERE.  Start at point 5 from where you will be scoring your card base and then you can build your card from there.  Adhere the stars at varying heights to give your card some depth and be careful how wide you make it otherwise it won't fit into the envelope!

Now just to let you know, I am going to be doing this card in a couple of colourways which will be posted very shortly but if you do want to order a different colour in the meantime, just EMAIL me and let me know and I'll make a kit up for you.
