7 Days of Teacher Treats for End of Year Gifts - #6 Thank You Scroll - The Crafty Spark

7 Days of Teacher Treats for End of Year Gifts - #6 Thank You Scroll

I love this - totally and utterly love it!  Last year I did something similar for my Daughter's 21st and it went down a storm :)  Buying gifts for teachers is always a wonderful thing to do but how about a very personalised letter from your little lad or lady to their teacher telling them how much they mean to them - definitely one that will be kept for years!  I'm going to show you how to make a super presentation box for your scroll too - even if you don't do anything else, today's gift is a MUST!

Crafty Spark Recipe

As before, this tutorial will be made in Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper with extra photos in Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper.....

1 sheet of Cucumber Crush cardstock measuring 7 1/2" x 11 5/8" (standard UK A4 size)
1 sheet of Tangerine Tango cardstock measuring 61/4" x 6 3/4"
Designer Series Paper to decorate
The scroll itself! (download link further down this post)

Time to get busy....
1.  Score on the short edge at 1 1/2" | 3" | 4 1/2" | 6"
Score on the long edge at 1 1/2" TURN the cardstock
180 degrees and score the other end at 1 1/2" - it's
important you turn the cardstock to make sure there is
enough room inside the box for the scroll
2.  Cut the ends as shown above

3.  Glue the ends of your box to look like this

4.  Score your Tangerine Tango cardstock on the
longest side at 1 1/2" | 3 1/8" | 4 5/8" | 6 1/8"
5.  Wrap the card around the box before you stick it
together to make sure there is enough room for
the sleeve to slide onto your box

6.  Just need to decorate now :)

  1. Hi Lea, what a brilliant gift. Any teacher will treasure it as its from the child not the parent. X Ros
