Sunshine Wishes With My Twist On The Blending Technique - Video Tutorial

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Lea Denton - Sunshine Wishes With My Twist On The Blending Technique

I was browsing through some of the card challenges you can take part in recently and I came across one by Fab Friday Stampin' Challenge.  Unfortunately I was too late to actually enter the challenge but I really liked the colours so I thought I'd make a card anyway.

Now I have to be honest, blending isn't my favourite pastime but I knew it would work with these colours brilliantly!  I was watching a video a while back by Jennifer McGuire and she was using really heaving blending on one of her cards which really appealed to me and so my card was born!  In fact, I actually did two of them as I liked it so much!

This is the other card I made using the same colours and technique.  You can't see it too well in the photos but the die cuts from the Sunshine Wishes set are actually done in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper - do love a bit of glitter!

And as it's Saturday, I've done another tutorial for you - most of my video tutorials will now be on Saturday so if it's a video you are after, that's the day to visit my blog.  In fact, to make sure you never miss one of my posts why not just SUBSCRIBE TO MY BLOG and that way you'll never miss a thing!

  1. I love this effect, Lea! I think I will use this for my "homework" for card class this Wednesday, along with one of those new dragonfly cutouts! I'll post the card on CMTs and tag you!

  2. I forgot to mention that one tip we were taught in class was to put a few dabs of glue on your workmat, and take a bit of sponge and soak the sponge in the glue. Rubbing this on the back of those fine diecuts puts glue where you want it without getting too much glue everywhere. You can then save the bit of sponge in a small airtight container. Put one of those fold-back clips on one side of the piece of sponge as a holder.
