FAQ's

Q.  Can I join as a demonstrator just to get the discount for myself?
A.  Of course! You can be your best customer and enjoy the 20% discount (rising to 38%) and additional benefits all demonstrators receive (this is how I started!) You can also see if your friends and family want to place orders through you too.

Q.  What do I get in my Starter Kit and how much does it cost to join?
A.  For £99 you choose £130 worth of Stampin’ Up! products – your starter kit is totally customisable and you can choose anything from the current range. You’ll also be sent a business pack worth £45 (which is free) to get you started.

Q.  I’m not local to you, can I still join your team?
A.  Absolutely. You can join my team wherever you live in the UK, The Netherlands, France, Germany and Austria. You will receive my full support and training thanks to technology!

Q.  I’m thinking about teaching classes in the future but just want to buy for myself for now. Is it easy to make that transition at a later date?
A.  Absolutely! We are all called demonstrators whether we join to get discounts for our hobby, make projects for friends and family or if we want to build a business. You’re in control and I’m here to give you my full support whichever route you choose whenever you choose to take it.

Q.  Is there any training available?
A.  Absolutely! I will provide you with all the support, help and training you need. And because not everyone wants the same level of support, all of the training is an optional extra. I run monthly team meetings which is a great time to catch up with other demonstrators and make some projects plus you are always welcome to come along to my classes and workshops. Stampin’ Up! offer the opportunity to attend their training events, On Stage Local and their annual On Stage Live. Again, all totally optional and available if you want it.
In addition to this, you will have access to…
A password protected demonstrator website which has lots of resources, training, techniques and online ordering.
A full colour quarterly magazine called Stampin’ Success with creative and business ideas exclusively for demonstrators.
A new weekly email called Succeed Weekly with project ideas, demonstrator stories, techniques, business tips, and more!
A free phone number to contact the fab Demonstrator Support team.

Q.  How much support can I expect from my Team Leader?
A.  You can expect to receive full support from me including business tips, ideas, stamping techniques, and ongoing support through our Group website, emails and regular online meetings.  I will be your biggest cheerleader for whatever goals you want to achieve with Stampin’ Up!  Nothing is required, and you choose your involvement… but the more you jump in, the more you will gain!

Q.  Do Stampin’ Up! offer any other incentives?
A.  You can be your own hostess and earn money to spend in the catalogue and buy exclusive hostess sets. From time to time, Stampin’ Up! offer some great opportunities to earn free products.

Q.  What if I decide I no longer want to be a demonstrator.
A.  That’s fine – you just do nothing and keep everything you’ve bought to date. At the end of the current quarter, you would go into pending if you haven’t met your minimums, then you would become ‘inactive’ the following month. There’s never any pressure to stay although of course I’d love you to stay in my team!

Q.  If I leave can I rejoin in the future?
A.  Yes, you can stop being a demonstrator and then join immediately the very next day if you want to.

Q.  Do I have to recruit other demonstrators
A.  Not at all – there’s never any pressure to do anything you don’t want to.

Q.  Do I need to hold stocks of products.
A.  No, customers order through you either directly or online and pay you at point of ordering. There’s no financial risk for you as you only order

Q.  What are the minimum sales requirements?
A.  You only have to submit £270 in catalogue sales per quarter (not monthly) to remain active – this is £230 after your discount!  You can submit your sales in any increment you wish (it does NOT have to be all at once) and you still get your discount and commission.

Q.  What if I only want to do this as a hobby.  Do I still have to have workshops?
A.  Absolutely not!!  Stampin’ Up! supports the hobby demonstrator just as well as the career demonstrator.  You can put in your own orders or collect orders from family and friends to equal the £270 a quarter minimum, and you will remain active and receive all the resources!

Q.  Can I be my own Hostess?
A.  Yes, you can be your own Hostess anytime you want.  You can invite your family and friends into your own home and have a workshop… or simply collect orders!!  You would be the Hostess, receiving the Hostess benefits, and you would also be the demonstrator receiving your instant income and commission!!

Q.  What if I decide that I don’t like it once I’ve started?  Will I be penalised if I quit or is there a certain time frame I have to be a demonstrator?
A.  You can stop anytime you choose.  You simply just stop putting in your minimum sales.  You do not owe the company any money or merchandise!  You simply become a customer again…  and are welcome to rejoin anytime, should you choose to!

Q. Where will I get my ideas for my workshops?
A.  Stampin’ Up!, the internet and our Crafty Cupcakes team have many resources!  The Catalogue, the Stampin’ Up! website, the weekly demonstrator Stampin’ Success magazine, training videos and Stampin’ Connection to name a few!  It is OKAY to copy your projects from these sources and use them at your workshops.  You do not have to think of everything by yourself.
