Beginning a new hobby can sometimes be a bit overwhelming can't it? You know you want to do it, but you don't really know where to start! To help you get going with your new found crafting hobby, I've put together a selection of craft items that I think you'll find will give you a great starting point to getting creative.
Getting Started SelectionThese are the crafting supplies that I would recommend you get to begin your creative journey with. These are really the craft basics and will give you plenty of cardstock and envelopes, sentiments for many occasions, lots of embellishments and seven colours of ink. The ink will come as Stampin' Write markers and small ink pads rather than the full size ink pads. You can write, colour or ink your stamps with the markers but they aren't as quick nor are they as vivid as you get with actual ink pads (you may want to consider adding some full size ink pads too). The total cost for these items comes to £150.75 which will make 70 unique hand-crafted cards at the amazing cost of £2.15 each!
Add to your little list of crafting loveliness above - Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue £3.75, Tear & Tape Adhesive £6.25, Mini Glue Dots £4.75, Stampin' Pierce Mat £4.50, Paper Snips £9.00 and a Bone Folder £6.25, Clear Acrylic Block C £6.25.
You could start with the minimums to begin with and add the rest as you can afford it. However, if you buy the Getting Started Selection all at once your total would be over £150 and you would therefore qualify for Stampin' Rewards. You would get 10%, or £15.07 to spend as your FREE Stampin' Rewards which means, you could actually get the fabulous Stampin' Trimmer for the discounted price of £11.93.
Your grand total of all your lovely crafting goodies would come to £162.68 which would mean that all your amazing hand-crafted cards would still only cost £2.32 each AND you'd still have plenty of materials left over to make more cards! Pretty good eh :)
Stamp SetsStamps sets that offer the most flexibility are always a great choice whether you are just starting out or adding to your collection
SentimentsThese sets will give you a wide variety of choice whatever the occasion
Card and InkThe base of almost everything crafty that you'll make, start with either Whisper White or Very Vanilla and then add your colours
AdhesivesYou'll notice I've suggested a couple of different adhesives in this last list simply because each one is used in a different way and has a different strength... bit like flour really - you wouldn't use extra strong flour to make a light sponge would you! (and yes I have done it and no it doesn't work!)
