Painted Petals and Friends

Do you ever find yourself drawn to one or two colours?  I do and this week I seem to be grabbing pink and green combinations!  Maybe it's because they're happy colours.... or maybe because I keep meaning to buy broccoli and peas and keep forgetting hahaha!!

I decided to make this card for a special friend of mine.  She has one year old twins as well as a 9 year old and unfortunately is bringing all the children up on her own.  I totally admire her strength and determination but most of all, her unrelenting, unconditional love of her children.  So to you my lovely friend, your children and you really are a part of my family and I love you all.

Crafty Recipe Time

Whisper White card
Strawberry Slush card
Pear Pizazz Ink pad
Strawberry Slush Ink pad
and the star of the show..... Painted Petals Stamp Set

And now to do...

I used a base of Strawberry Slush cut and folded into an A5 card base (5 3/4" x 8 1/4")
Add a layer of Whisper White card cut to 5 1/2" x 8"
Stamp the bottom of the Whisper White with the lines from the Painted Petals Stamp set in Pear Pizazz ink
Using the dots from the set, stamp a piece of Whisper White card measuring 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" in Strawberry Slush ink and mount that onto a piece of Strawberry Slush card measuring 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Take another piece of Whisper White card and stamp your flowers adding the sentiment underneath
Add some gems to the flowers and a bow tied in lined thread
Stamp a few flowers inside the card to finish it off

I also made an envelope to match using the fantastic Envelope Punch Board and some left over Pistachio Pudding Designer Series Paper (more about the Envelope Punch Board soon)
There you go, one pretty card for one pretty friend :)
