7 Days of Teacher Treats for End of Year Gifts - #5 Gift Bag + Tag

If you're going to give a gift, you need something to put it in right?  Today's tutorial will show you how to make a great gift bag to put all your gorgeous goodies in that you've made plus a super duper tag to make sure your child's teacher knows it's from them

Now I have to say this is not my own design.  I saw it ages ago on Pinterest and it was so easy to do I just had to have a go and have been making them ever since.  I don't know who originally came up with this design but whoever you are, THANK YOU and I'm really sorry I don't know who you are to be able to credit you on this post.

Crafty Spark Recipe

Gift Bag

2 sheets of Envelope Paper measuring 12" x 12"
1 piece of card measuring 2" x 8"
1 piece of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper measuring 4 3/4" x 4 3/4"
1 piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock measuring 5 3/4" x 5 3/4"

Gift Tag

1 strip of Pacific Point cardstock measuring 2" x 11 1/2"
1 strip of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper measuring 1 3/4" x 5 1/4"
2 1/2" circle punched out of Basic Gray cardstock
2" circle punched out of Tangerine Tango cardstock
1 3/4" circle punched out of Pool Party cardstock
Medium Star punched out of gold foil cardstock

1.  Score your envelope paper at 2" on three sides
2.  On the final side, score at 1 1/2"

3.  Cut into the two bottom corners (not the 1 1/2" side) on one sheet

4.  On the other sheet, cut the bottom corners out, fold the
1 1/2" flap outwards and punch two holes at the top of the
 sheets for your handles

5.  Stick the larger middle flaps together

6.  Add some tape to the side flaps

7.  Fold them inwards and stick into place
8.  Take your 2" strip and stick it inside of your bag

9.  You should now have something like this!

10.  Layer and stick your paper and punch out eight 3/4" circles
putting a smaller hole in the middle - these will be used to
strengthen the handle holes

11.  Stick the circles and paper onto the front of your bag

12.  Add some ribbon for your handles and you're done :)
13.  Score your strip of 2" card at 5 3/4"
Fold it over to make your tag

14.  All done with ribbon added :)
