7 Days of Teacher Treats for End of Year Gifts - #4 Part 1.... Gold Star Thank You Card

You can't get to the end of term without Thank You Cards can you!  Today I'm showing you two cards, the first one being a bit easier to do and the second with a little twist to it which you can see in my next post ;)

As I've been doing all this week, I'm going to be showing you how to make these cards using the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper.  You can see the photos for the ones I made using Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper a bit further down this post - when I showed them to my youngest son he gave me a very cross look and said "my teacher is a man, I can't give him a girl card"!  Well that told me didn't it!!  Hence I'm doing all the tutorials this week in Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper for all the 'man' teachers :)

Crafty Spark Recipe - Gold Star Thank You Card

(because let's face it, a gold star is the least our teachers deserve!)

1 piece of Cucumber Crush cardstock measuring 10" x 7"
1 piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4 3/4" x 6 3/4"
1 piece of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper measuring 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"
1 piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock measuring 4" x 6"
1 piece of Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper measuring 3 3/4" x 5 3/4"
Large gold star
2" circle in Pacific Point
1 3/4" circle in Whisper White
Tangerine Tango Bakers Twine
Tin of Cards Stamp Set

To Do....

Assemble all your layers as shown below on to your Cucumber Crush card base

Use your die cutting machine to cut out a gold start
(tip - put a piece of plain paper on top of the foil card before to cut to help stop marking the foil)

Cut a length of Bakers Twine approx 56" long, fold over 7 times and knot the ends.  Stick the twine to the centre of your 2" circle with a blob of glue then add some dimensionals to stick the circle to your star.  Using the Tin of Cards stamp set, stamp the 'Thank You' on to the 1 3/4" circle and stick this onto the larger circle.  Stick your star to the front of the card and you're done :)
