Watch It Wednesday - Aqua Painter & Blender Pen Techniques

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Lea Denton, The Crafty Spark

Two of our favourite products are the Aqua Painter and the Blender Pen. Both tools are used for watercolouring, or in other words, they both make you feel like a professional artist. Whenever you're going to watercolour something, make sure you use StāzOn ink (so the ink doesn't bleed) and watercolour paper (regular paper will tear and curl). The Blender Pen is filled with a specialised solution to make blending easier. The Aqua Painter has an empty base for liquid (no water cup needed). It's more wet than the blender pen, so keep a paper towel handy to dab off any extra water when you need to. The biggest difference between the two is the amount of control you have.

Squeeze your ink pad and open it. This leaves a pool of ink in the lid that you can use to watercolour with. It may not look like very much ink, but a little goes a long way. To use the Aqua Painter fill it with water (or you can instead use bleach or alcohol depending on the kind of look you want to achieve). Pick a little ink from the lid of your ink pad using the brush tip and water colour away! To use the Blender Pen simply pick up a little ink from the lid of your ink pad using the marker tip and color your image just like you do when using markers. Get yours and play with it! Everyone will be impressed with your skills!

I hope you enjoyed my post today. If you would like to make this project, simply click the links throughout the page to go straight to my ONLINE SHOP to purchase your crafting supplies. Please do remember that if your order is less than £150 to use this month’s Hostess Code which you will find at the top right of my blog below the tab navigation bar and at the bottom of each post.  At the end of each month I add up all the Hostess Codes that have been used, convert them to Stampin’ Rewards and divide this between everyone that has ordered for that month….. which means….. YOU will receive a little something lovely through the post at the beginning of the following month but ONLY if you've used the Hostess Code.  If your order is over £150 please don't use the code to make sure all the Stampin’ Rewards come directly to you (only individual orders in excess of £150 qualify for Stampin’ Rewards). Unsure what to do or need help ordering?  Click HERE or give me a shout and I'll help you out :)   I love to hear what you think of my projects so please feel free to leave me a message in the comments section below.

Until next time......
  Happy crafting with love from
