Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Abstract Impressions Suite by Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Lea Denton, The Crafty Spark

Welcome to another Stamping Sunday Blog Hop :) This month the Stamping Sunday Design Team are showcasing the beautiful Garden Impressions Suite from Stampin' Up!. As always we have some wonderful projects to show you so make sure you check out all the blogs taking part!

There are a total of 24 different designs in the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Pack from Stampin' Up! and each one is a gorgeous as the next! For my projects today I decided to stick to three of the designs and I just love how they coordinate so effortlessly.

The card I'm showing you today measures 5 3/4" square and I just love the split diagonal design on the front, it really shows off the beautiful patterns on the paper.

By adding the paper to the inside of the card it gives it that added WOW factor and really does complete the design. Rather than stamp on the outside of the card, I decided to do some stamping and embossing on the inside. The Abstract Impressions Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! matches the paper design perfectly (of course!) so I mirrored the flower design on the outside to the inside.

I decided to add something a bit special to the front of the card so made a tassel out of the Shaded Spruce Ribbon and adhered it underneath the stamped flower. The video I've added below will show you how to make the tassel from ribbon. The flower is stamped on to Petal Pink Cardstock and then punched out using the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch from Stampin' Up!... a few leaves behind it and voila, one very pretty flower!

The cute gift box was made using the fabulous Envelope Punch Board and was super simple to do. Cut your paper to measure 5 7/8" square then punch and score at 2 1/2" then again at 3 1/4". The resulting box is 3" x 3 1/8" and 1/2" deep so is perfectly sized for a small gift.

Rather than just seal it shut, I decided to add a cute little belly band that would just slip off and is made from a 1" strip of Garden Impressions Paper. To make the rosette in the middle you need to take a 6" strip of paper and score it every 1/4". Concertina fold it and then adhere it to the belly band with a 1 1/2" circle from Shaded Spruce Cardstock on the bottom and a 1/2" circle of Calypso Coral Cardstock on the top. Add a Petal Pink Blossom Embellishment to finish it off.

Thank you once again for visiting me today. Make sure you click the name after mine in the list to carry on through the hop
