Floral Romance Suite from Stampin' Up! Makes A Beautiful Two Dimensional Card

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Lea Denton, The Crafty Spark...

Today's card was made for a challenge my Team Leader, Kim Fee - Simplyfairies set for the team. We had to make a card based on the Thank You card on the front of the Spring/Summer 2019 Catalogue.

Now I know you may look at that and then look at my card and say it's nothing like it but let me explain. I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to create the frames, Petal Pink card base with some of the gorgeous Petal Pink Vellum from the Floral Romance Specialty Paper on top to create a patterned background, flowers in the middle from the Wonderful Romance Stamp Set, Frosted Flower Embellishments instead of Enamel Dots and for the sentiment, dark ink on a white background instead of the white embossing on the dark background... can you see it now?

Crafty Recipe

Petal Pink card base: 5¾" x 4" | 14.5cm x 10cm
Whisper White card insert (inside card to write on): 5½" x 3¾" | 14cm x 9.5cm

  1. Begin by using the Rectangle Framelits. Cut two frames from Mossy Meadow Cardstock and Crumb Cake Cardstock. Use tiny dots of glue from the Fine Tipped Glue Pen under each frame to adhere it to the Petal Pink Vellum and then add more tiny dots of glue to the back of the vellum to adhere it to the card front
  2. Stamp and die cut the large bunch of flowers and leaves and colour using ink from the ink pads with a Blender Pen (much cheaper than buying a whole pack of Stampin' Write Markers!)
  3. Die cut some small foliage from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and leaves from Old Olive Cardstock and adhere these to the front of your card along with the coloured bunch of flowers and leaves
  4. Use a very small sentiment on the card so it doesn't overpower the flowers. I found one in the Wishing You Well Stamp Set which was just perfect so used that punched out with the Classic Label Punch
  5. Add your embellishments to finish

I do hope you enjoyed reading my post today and if you do want to order any Stampin' Up! goodies for yourself, make sure you use the current Host Code (you can learn more about Host Codes here).

Until next time......
  Happy crafting with love from

  1. I think that your thank you card is much prettier than the original thank you card from the cover. You made a very beautiful card!!
